Field Archaeologist I

Archaeological Field Technician to perform all aspects of fieldwork (Phase IA, IB, I, II, III, Data Recovery, Monitoring, Shovel Testing, Trenching). Self-motivated, physically able to conduct all aspects of fieldwork in all weather conditions and be able to follow instructions from crew chief.
Participation in an archaeological field school and a Bachelor's degree in anthropology, archaeology, or related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. The ability to work under supervisor and as part of a team is necessary
Travel is necessary ? could be away from home for a few weeks at a time. Be able to respond and head out to field to travel and work on short notice is necessary

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
